ATOMEXPO to Feature Roundtable on Digital Solutions

The roundtable discussion “Digital Solutions: From Specialized Nuclear Solutions to Developed Infrastructure Projects in the Energy and Other Sectors of the Economy” will take place on April 15 as part of the 11th ATOMEXPO 2019 International Forum.

Nuclear industry companies are among the most high-tech enterprises in the world today. Their advanced solutions not only meet the highest safety requirements, but also give reason to believe the nuclear industry to be a centre of innovation where technological reserves and unique competencies in IT are developed. Participants in the roundtable will discuss digital solutions that are currently being used to help achieve the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals and which digital products in the nuclear industry may be put forward in order to ensure the effective development of the economy and improve the quality of people’s lives. The discussion will touch upon the barriers that exist when it comes to transferring nuclear digital solutions to other industries,

Participants in the roundtable will include: IAEA expert Dr. Pekka Tapani Pyy Senior Expert; MP and member of the of the State Duma Committee on Energy Gennady Sklyar; Chief Digital Officer at ROSATOM Ekaterina Solntseva; Chief Executive Officer of RASU JSC Andrey Butko; Vice-Principal of MEPhI National Research Nuclear University Tatiana Leonova; Head of Utility Segment Strategic Accounts at Schneider Electric François Verkindt; I&C BU Executive Vice President at Framatome (France) Philippe Sauvard; General Manager of China National Nuclear Corporation Sun Yongbin. The discussion will be moderated by Irina Gayda, a Partner at PwC Strategy& Russia.

The roundtable will take place on April 15 in 9am at the Gray Conference Hall of the Main Media Centre.
