Round-table discussion “Digital Future of NPP Control Systems - What Will It Be Like?” will be held on May 15, 2018 from 10 a.m. to 13 p.m. The discussion will be organized by JSC Rusatom Automated Control Systems (JSC RASU).

The increasing complexity of control processes, the growing number of cyberattacks, strict nuclear rules and regulations and different approaches to their understanding in different countries lead to the inevitable cost increase of NPP construction projects. Facing all this, we need to define the best ways for further development.

The moderator of the meeting, Serge Minin, Senior Manager PwC, together with the guest speakers, will address a number of burning issues in the discussion:

• What are the ways to keep I&C projects cost-efficient with the systems getting more and more complicated, and requirements getting stricter?

• Which challenges, direct and indirect, are I&C system integrators and suppliers facing nowadays? Which response will follow these challenges with the current digitalization trend?

• Which technologies and automation systems will ensure the dramatic increase in performance? What is the relevant experience of the key players of the market?

• Will digital technologies in automation systems lead to the new challenges and threats, or escalation of the existing ones?

Such burning issues cannot be discussed in isolation, the opinions of all interested parties shall be taken into account. Knowing this, we invite the representatives of international companies - players of the global NPP I&C market, the Russian and overseas clients and partners of Rosatom State Corporation and JSC RASU, regulatory bodies, leading companies of the allied industries, persons from the expert community and others.

Among the guest speakers, there will be the representatives of the Russian and foreign companies: Mikhail Chudakov (IAEA), Dmitry Chichikin (WANO), Andrey Butko (JSC RASU), Philippe Sauvard (Framatome), Stephane Lessi, (Rolls-Royce), Andrey Dukhvalov (Kaspersky Lab), Peikert Grischa (Siemens AG), Alexey Kovalevich (JSC ETC GET), Maher Chebbo (GE Power), Konstantin Komissarov (Schneider Electric Russia), Sun Younbin (CTEC CGN).

Andrey Butko, CEO, JSC RASU: «It is becoming apparent that only cooperation, partnership and active participation in development of trends with regard to the global threats can bring us the increase in I&C performance, promotion and safety».
